Giclee Fine Art Paper

Every image in the studio catalog is printed on museum-grade, 100% cotton rag archival paper using pigment-based inks to ensure generational longevity, color fidelity, and structural tonality. We offer two distinct, hand-selected fine-art substrates to match the light profile and textural needs of your space.

1. Hahnemühle Photo Rag (308 gsm)

Pure Matte Fine Art Cotton Rag

  • The Finish: A completely non-reflective, velvety matte surface with a delicate felt texture.

  • The Character: Offers a soft, painterly depth reminiscent of a traditional lithograph or charcoal drawing. It produces rich, lifted blacks and natural highlight transitions without the plastic sheen or glare of commercial photo paper.

  • Best Paired With: Sunlit living rooms, bedrooms, and open transitional spaces where side lighting or large windows cause harsh reflections. Ideal for quiet landscapes, atmospheric river scenes, and spaces utilizing natural linens and warm white oak.

2. Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta (315 gsm)

Traditional Darkroom Satin Cotton Rag

  • The Finish: An elegant eggshell satin finish achieved through an authentic barium sulfate (baryta) coating over a heavy 100% cotton rag base.

  • The Character: Replicates the unmistakable depth, micro-contrast, and dynamic range of a vintage darkroom silver gelatin print. The baryta layer holds pigment right at the surface, delivering deep, inky black density (high Dmax), crisp textural separation, and luminous highlights that catch ambient light with an organic, subtle luster.

  • Best Paired With: Architectural anchors, heritage structural subjects, and high-contrast monochrome statements. Ideal for formal dining rooms, moody entry foyers, executive offices, and focal points that require sharp textural presence and graphic weight.

Fine Art Matte Canvas

Our archival canvas pieces are crafted for large-format presence without the harsh glare, reflection, or plastic sheen typical of commercial gallery wraps. Printed on a substantial 450 gsm heavyweight poly-cotton blend, this medium bridges the gap between photography and fine art painting, offering an organic, woven texture that grounds large residential and commercial spaces.

The Surface & Finish

  • Dead-Matte Patina: A non-reflective, velvety surface engineered to absorb ambient light rather than bounce it back. Even when positioned directly opposite floor-to-ceiling windows or beneath directional spotlights, the image remains completely visible without hot spots or glass reflections.

  • Heavyweight Woven Structure: At 450 gsm (19 mil), the canvas possesses a substantial, authentic tooth that adds tangible depth to structural lines, weathered materials, and quiet horizon gradients.

  • Tonal Nuance: Specifically calibrated for deep shadow separation and soft, lifted blacks, creating a painterly atmosphere that integrates naturally into transitional and heritage interiors.

Display & Framing

  • Floating Frames: Best paired with a solid wood floater frame (natural white oak, walnut, or matte black) with a 1/4" recessed reveal, allowing the canvas edge to float cleanly within the moulding.

  • Stretched Profile: Mounted over solid wood stretcher bars with tailored, clean-finished corners designed to sit flush against the wall.

  • Glass-Free Presentation: Because the surface is inherently glare-free and scratch-resistant, it eliminates the need for glazing or acrylic, removing visual barriers between the viewer and the art.
